BADIN: The Badin district and sessions court handed a five-year imprisonment sentence to the employees of a local non-governmental organisation, National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) said Tuesday.
According to details, the second additional Badin district and sessions judge sentenced two ex-employees of Badin NRSP, including Shakoor Bhoot and Allah Bachayo Panwhar, for committing corruption in the Tando Bago project funds.
Both the accused appealed to the honourable court for cancellation of previous judgment, but the court rejected their appeal and ordered to send them to the Hyderabad central jail.
It is pertinent to mention here that both ex-employees of NRSP Badin chapter were held for being involved in corruption worth Rs 17.9 million in the budget of the different schemes of their organisation in Taluka Tando Bago sub-office. They were found guilty of the offence and cases were registered against them.
