KARACHI: Sindh High Court on Monday issued notices to Sindh government, the Sindh home department, Sindh inspector general of police (IGP), Rangers director general and others while hearing petitions filed by families of over 15 civilians, who went missing within last few days.
The court issued the notices while hearing the petitions of families seeking recovery of their dear ones who have gone missing within a short span of just a few days.
It may be mentioned here that the incidents of civilians gone suddenly missing has picked up the pace once again in recent weeks. On the 2nd of this month, a divisional bench of SHC, expressing anger at the failure of the police to recover the missing persons, had summoned head of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing missing persons’ case.
