LAHORE: Rickshaw drivers protested on Sunday against the increase in Liqified Petroleum Gas (LPG) price and demanded instant relief from concerned authorities.
Awami Rickshaw Union Chairman Majeed Ghauri demanded proper classification of local and imported LPG. He blamed government authorities for selling local LPG on higher rates by classifying it as imported
Reportedly, rickshaw drivers also protested against illegal and baseless challans by traffic police officers. They complained that around 20 to 25 rickshaws have been seized by traffic police and drivers have also been arrested.
In case their demands are not fulfilled, the rickshaw drivers announced protest outside Secretariat in order to attain justice.
