QUETTA: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal on Monday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will belong to its founder and will continue to be his party.

Addressing a PSP workers’ convention in Quetta, Kamal said that MQM-Pakistan (MQM-P) uses the name of the ‘muhajirs’ for its foul politics. He lamented that his community’s image and behaviour was manipulated over the past 35 years by the so-called leaders of Muhajirs.

He said that he stands firm on what he said during the joint press conference with Farooq Sattar. The PSP chief said that he was proud of being a Muhajir and of his bonds with the Pashtun, Punjabi, Baloch and Sindhi communities.

He added that the so-called leaders of Muhajirs were actually selling their community.

The convention at Darbar Hall was also addressed by Raza Haroon and other PSP leaders. They said that they did not do the politics of seats and spoke of public issues. The PSP leaders urged party workers to relay their message to every household in the province that they have set out for a change and put an end to oppression.

Appealing the masses to support them, Raza Haroon said, “We would be at fault if children were influenced by terrorists.” He added, “The enemy is fanning hatred among us and we have come for the change of system.”

He also said that they want to eliminate all issues based on colour, race and sect. The PSP leader added that they want to accomplish things they have undertaken before they die.
