Dr AQ Khan lauds Role of FUUAST in promoting national language

KARACHI: Federal Urdu University of Science, Arts and Technology (FUUAST) on Monday inaugurated its 20th national and 16th International Chemistry Conference under chemistry department, with a collaboration of Chemical Society of Pakistan, on ‘Global changes and their challenges with the help of Chemistry’.

Noted atomic scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer (AQ) Khan speaking in the inaugural session said that there is no lack of talented people in our country. He said that if funds, freedom of work and other facilities are provided to them, then in every field Pakistanis can perform their best and get huge successes.

He said that the university was performing a vital role in imparting education in the national language. “I am pleased to know that all faculty members of chemistry department are PhDs and research culture is very rich in this department,” he added.

He also said that he has established some educational and health care institutes to serve people. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Zafar Iqbal, Chemical Society of Pakistan President GA Miana, General Secretary Dr Raza Shah, and Department of Chemistry Chairperson Professor Dr Talat Mahmood also spoke on the occasion.
