LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) has dismissed two police officials from service for subjecting a woman to torture and later uploading her video on social media.
Two police officials identified as Intazar Abbas and Najam Abbas during a raid subjected a woman to torture besides making a video of her after tearing her clothes. They put her video on social media to blackmail her.
Taking notice of the incident, CCPO Lahore Muhammad Ameen Venus ordered the Superintendent of the Police (SP) to initiate an inquiry of the incident on merit. In the inquiry report, both pleaded guilty of doing a crime like subjecting torture to a woman and making a video of her.
After the inquiry report, both the police officials were sacked. On the other hand, another police constable was sacked from his job on receiving a bribe from a citizen at a traffic signal.
