Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Women Wing President Faryal Talpur said Sunday that masses should support PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to ensure a bright future for the coming generations of the country.
She expressed these views while addressing a meeting of PPP Women Wing at Zardari House Islamabad in connection with the public gathering in the federal capital to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the party on December 5.
Talpur said that PPP respected women and was striving to elevate the status of Pakistani women. Women have to attend this celebration in large numbers, she requested. She said that Benazir Income Support Programme was a step towards emancipation of women in the country. She also said that those people who did not respect women were being exposed.
Talpur further said that the party was proud to follow the vision of late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and late Benazir Bhutto. Women would take part in the next general elections in 2018 in large numbers and their votes would lay the foundation stone of a better future for women in the country. Nargis Faiz Malik, Nasira Meo and other office bearers of PPP Women Wing Islamabad also attended the meeting.
