Fake spiritual healer, four outlaws arrested in police operations

ISLAMABAD: Kohsar police on Sunday arrested a fake spiritual healer and four other outlaws involved in street crimes and dacoity incidents, a police spokesman said.

He said that a team led by Superintendent of Police (City) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh arrested Nazeer Ahmed, a resident of Sir Syed Colony Rawalpindi, and Agha Fayyaz, resident of Peoples Colony Faisalabad. They used to loot simpletons by portraying themselves as spiritual healers and confessed to have taken away money and other valuables from at least 150 persons.

Police also recovered a Toyota Corolla car (EC7288) and other valuables from them, while initiating further investigations against the nabbed accused.

Meanwhile, the same police team, including Kohsar Station House Officer Asjad Mehmood, arrested four outlaws involved in street crimes and a dacoity incident. The nabbed accused have been identified as Atif, Siraj, Furqan and Usman.

The police team also recovered looted items, including precious watches and mobile phones from them, and started further investigation against the culprits.

Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police Sajid Kiani appreciated the overall performance of the force and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
