KARACHI: The demolition squad of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) sealed and demolished various illegal structures including marriage lawn, private bank and shops in different areas of the metropolis.
The demolition action was taken on the directives of SBCA Director General Agha Maqsood Abbas, according to a statement here on Friday. The SBCA’s team sealed a marriage hall which was built on plot no 110 block 2, Shah Faisal Colony here.
Rolling shutters, roof and walls of shops at ground floor of plot no B-234 block-L in North Nazimabad were razed and premises was sealed by the SBCA team. In another action, the team sealed the illegal constructions of a private bank at the ground floor of plot no 17-BR-3, Saddar Town here.
The SBCA team also demolished and sealed illegal constructions in different areas include Gulshan, Nazimabad, Paposh Nagar, Saddar Town, Shah Faisal and Al-Falah Society here. Deputy and assistant building directors and demolition officers supervised the demolition activities in their respective areas while the SBCA’s Police Force were also present to control the law and order situation.
