RAWALPINDI: To provide the best health facilities to the people, pathology labs will be set up in the hospitals across the province, including the allied hospitals, which will be connected with the central lab through satellite.
This was decided in a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to sources in the Health Department, state of the art central pathology labs would be set up in Lahore and Multan, while small labs would be set up in the hospitals which would be centrally connected.
The facility of every sort of test would be available in these labs being run on an automated system. The information management system would also be provided in these labs, while a road show would also be held to create awareness among the masses about the facility. It was also decided that new hospitals would be established under the public-private partnership model in Punjab.
