Police killed two alleged robbers during an encounter in Korangi area of the city in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to rescue sources, two unknown robbers were looting people at gunpoint in Korangi No-5, when police reached the scene. The accused opened fire on police team which was retaliated.
During exchange of fire, the accused suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot. The police also recovered weapons, bullets, a motorbike, cash and cell phones from the spot. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico- legal formalities.
