ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has appointed Member of National Assembly (MNA) Chaudhry Muhammad Shahbaz Babar as parliamentary secretary for information and broadcasting (I&B).
A notification regarding the new appointment was issued on Wednesday.
Chaudhry Muhammad Shahbaz Babar was elected from the constituency NA-79 in Faisalabad (Sumandri) in the 2013 general elections.
Previously Babar has served as a member of NA Standing Committee for commerce, textile and health and of Pakistan Parliamentary Services (PPS) board of governors. Currently, he is running the Al-Sharif Trust Foundation.
Talking to media persons following his appointment, Babar said that he would not shy away from any efforts needed for him to fulfil his new responsibilities.
