KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Raza Haroon claimed on Thursday that the Khan of Kalat recently held a meeting with the founder of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) at the party’s international secretariat in London.

Addressing a press conference, Haroon said that the new wave of terrorism in Balochistan is alarming, adding that an anti-Pakistan movement is ongoing in the province. He also condemned the posting of anti-Pakistan banners in London.

Khan of Kalat, one of the leading leaders of Balochistan, is in self-imposed exile in the UK after leaving Pakistan following the killing of Nawaz Akbar Bugti in an army operation in 2006.

“If you speak on Balochistan unrest without taking into account Karachi, then you are deceiving yourself,” he said, adding that Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav’s confessional statement included the network in Karachi as well.

Jadhav, an official of India’s spy agency RAW, was caught by the security forces from Balochistan in March last year and later confessed to funding and organising subversive activities inside the country at the behest of the Indian state.

Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti said on Thursday that India’s intelligence agencies are funding terrorist activities in the province.

He said a wholesome strategy is being devised to deal with the issue. He said the government is conducting intelligence-based operations against terrorists, including the militants.
