ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of foreign funding cases filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the appeals filed by PTI leaders Shireen Mazari and Asad Umar in his chamber.
It is pertinent to mention that the Registrar Office had objected to the appeals for not submitting them to the relevant forum. Both leaders filed pleas against Registrar Office order, which were set for hearing in chief justice’s chamber.
PTI’s counsel Faisal Chaudhry pleaded the court to grant more time as he was busy in other cases. The chief justice accepted his request and adjourned the hearing of the case.
