Nawaz, Maryam, PML-N targeting army, alleges Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan alleged on Tuesday that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz’s media cell and their party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, were attacking the Pakistan army.

In an interview with a private news channel, Khan said that he knew why the PML-N leadership was targeting the armed forces.

“They distributed sweets when the Supreme Court ordered the formation of a JIT because they thought they could control it like they have controlled JITs in the past,” said the PTI chairman.

“However, the MI and ISI members of the JIT sent on orders by the Supreme Court were not influenced by the government and did their jobs professionally which resulted in Sharifs getting caught,” he said, “This is why they are attacking Pakistan Army.”

Earlier in the day, Imran Khan during a ceremony in the Capital, said his party would emerge victorious in the next general elections and would rule all provinces of the country.

“It is PTI’s mission to fix the country since most political leaderships prioritise themselves over the country,” Khan said.

He said with confidence that they would not need to inform the next government body about the “billion tree tsunami” as their own party would emerge victorious in the elections.

In his address, Khan asserted that pollution was causing diseases across the country and was particularly dangerous for children but no one was giving any serious thought to it.

“Pollution is best countered by planting trees and this initiative was taken by the PTI with billion tree tsunami,” he said, adding that his party was ridiculed when this initiative was taken, but his party made the billion tree tsunami an example for the whole country.
