KARACHI: An alleged robber was killed by traffic police Firozabad on Tipu Sultan Road of the city in the wee hours Wednesday.
According to sources, a gang of three unknown robbers intercepted DSP traffic police Firozabad Baz Muhammad Siyal near Tipu Sultan Chowrangi, but he opened fire on them. As a result, a robber, aged about 34, suffered severe injuries and died on the spot, while two of his accomplices fled the scene.
The police also claimed to have recovered a TT pistol, bullets, mobile phones and a motorcycle from the spot.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.
