LAHORE: The Pakistan Rangers won the inaugural match against Archers during the 26th Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Challenge Polo Cup 2017 commenced here at the Fortress Stadium on Monday.
Pakistan Air Force’s Central Air Command Senior Air Staff Officer Air Commodore Muhammad Shoaib Khan was the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the tournament. The inaugural match was played between the Pakistan Rangers and the Archers, which was won by the Rangers.
Six polo teams which are participating in the seven-day long tournament include the Pakistan Rangers, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Air Force (Blue), Zacky Farms, Stallions and Archers. The CAS Challenge Cup Polo tournament was introduced in 1985 and ever since it has been a regular feature in the sports calendar.
