LAHORE: A group of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Centre (PKLI&RC), including nursing, medical and management staff, led by Dr Amer Yar Khan, visited the under-construction hospital site on Tuesday.

The purpose was to review the commissioning plan regarding first phase of the hospital with the objective of synergising the concept with the actual project progress.

During the visit, Dr Amer stated that the construction work on the project was in progress round the clock. The hospital’s management, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Professor PKLI&RC President Dr Saeed Akhter, were working tirelessly to inaugurate the first phase of the hospital on December 25.

Dr Amer informed that PKLI&RC hospital was the first hospital in the country to be built on JCI Standards (international standards for healthcare). He hoped that PKLI&RC would become a role model in the region where state-of-the-art treatment facilities for kidney and liver related diseases would be provided.
