Residents take to streets after police kill 12-year old boy in Karachi’s Mominabad

KARACHI: The residents of Mominabad locality in Orangi Town took to the streets on Monday and surrounded a local police station to protest against the alleged killing of a 12-year-old boy by police officials.

The protesters chanted slogans against the police demanding stern action against the accused.

As per reports, a 12-year boy identified as Rehan was allegedly killed by four policemen during a firing incident. The reason behind the killing remains unknown.

Following the protest, the Orangi Town police chief ordered the arrest of the accused policemen identified as Majid, Razzaq, Tahir and Farooqui. Subsequently, a case has also been lodged against them.
