PML-N Govt made unparalleled progress in South Punjab: CM

LAHORE: In his meeting with Muzaffargarh Member of National Assembly (MNA) Sultan Mehmud Hanjra, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated that the development and progress initiatives taken by the Punjab government were producing results all over the province.

He said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) governments always served the people with constructive work and patriotism, did not indulge in lies and allegations and always fulfilled its promises to the public, adding that the government’s measures in its four and a quarter years in power found no other parallel in Pakistan’s 70-year history.

The chief minister particularly mentioned the work done by Punjab government in South Punjab. He said that mobile health units, Daanish schools, modern hospitals and big educational institutions have been established in South Punjab. He mentioned the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital with its modern facilities, and informed that 250 beds were being added to the hospital from the Punjab government’s funds.

The chief minister added that South Punjab had been given ten percent more funds than prescribed by its population, adding that people of South Punjab were very dear to his heart and that the government had made dedicated efforts to improve its resources. Sharif said that South Punjab was developing as well as central and north Punjab.

Lord Nazeer calls on CM: Member of British House of Lords Lord Nazir Ahmed visited Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday.

Briefing the visiting dignitary on the work done by Punjab government, Sharif said that the Punjab government was serving its people dedicatedly and true to its obligations. He said that the next generation of Pakistanis will inherit a Pakistan free of allegations and lies, adding further that the Pakistan of 2017 was secure, peaceful, developed and progressed.

The British dignitary responded to Sharif with praises for the government’s hard work and said that Punjab government had set a new culture of hard work and public service. He acknowledged that Punjab had progressed in several sectors.

Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Commissioner Afzal Bhatti was also present in the meeting.
