PIA flights affected due to weather conditions

 

Due to weather conditions (dense fog and smog) prevailing in the country, some of PIA flights operating on Monday 13 November have been cancelled and revised. PIA spokesman said here on Sunday.

PIA spokesman said that the weather condition was expected to prevail for the next few days and was beyond the control of the airline. PIA has to adjust the timings of its flights due to such weather conditions, as the airline cannot operate flights with poor visibility and also keeping in view the safety requirements. This results in either cancellation of the flights or delay in flights. The passengers are being informed by PIA Call Centre. However, the passengers can also confirm the revised timings of their flights before reaching airports from PIA Call Centre at 111-786-786.

PIA regrets the inconvenience caused for its passengers. PK 342 & PK 343 Karachi-Faisalabad-Karachi, PK 313 Lahore-Karachi, PK 683 & PK 684 Lahore-Multan-Lahore, PK 582 & PK 583 Karachi-Rahim Yar Khan-Karachi have been cancelled due to poor weather forecast at stations. PIA also rerouted some of its flights due to weather conditions which are PK 588 & PK 589 now operating Karachi-Multan-Islamabad-Multan-Karachi delay by two hours and forty five minutes, PK 763 operating Karachi-Jeddah instead of Faisalabad-Jeddah, PK 296 operating Abu Dhabi- Lahore instead of Abu Dhabi-Rahim Yar Khan-Lahore, PK 340 & PK 341 Now operating Karachi-Lahore-Karachi instead of Faisalabad.

PK 390 Karachi-Sukkur-Islamabad operating delay by 3 hours while PK 391 Islamabad- Sukkur-Karachi operating delay by 2 hours & thirty minutes, PK 650 Lahore-Islamabad operating delay by 04 hours and PK 651 operating delay by 3 hours thirty minutes, PK 594 & PK 595 Lahore-Sukkur-Lahore operating delay by 4 hours, spokesperson concluded.
