KHAIRPUR: Disappointed with the performance of the party, 13 activists and a general counsellor of local government (LG) of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) here on Sunday.
They made the announcement during a ceremony organised in UC Jillani Khairpur, the constituency of PPP MNA Nafeesa Shah.
Those who joined PTI included counselor from UC ward-VI Syed Sabit Ali Shah, Munawar Ali Shah, Syed Madad Ali Shah, Hafeezur Rehman, Asad Ali Sharjo, Basit Ali Jalbani, Maroof Pathan, Shah Zado Jagirani, Abid Hussain Jagirani, Amir Kehar, Kamran Sheikh, Nadeem Abro, Mubeen Ahmad Jatoi, Shakir Ali Shah, Wajid Mahar and Muhammad Jamali.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Sabit Ali Shah said that PPP has adversely failed to fulfil pledges made to masses, and they were forced to leave the party and join PTI.
