MIANWALI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Sunday said the Pakistani youth were confused and misguided as they felt inferior in comparison with rest of the world.
Addressing a convocation ceremony at Namal College in Mianwali, the PTI chief said about 70 per cent of the country’s population was under 35 and added that they had become slaves to the Western culture.
Criticising the Western culture, he urged the students to overcome their delusional fascination with the foreign culture, advising them to remember their own identity and culture.
Imran recommended the students to acquaint themselves with the philosophy of Allama Iqbal, who preached progress through education.
Imran further said Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s struggle was aimed at achieving a separate country for his people, adding that “nothing can beat a man with a firm resolve.”
Giving the example of his own political journey, he said, “I was also laughed at in the beginning, but I burned my ships before embarking on a mission. The PTI wouldn’t have materialised if I had given up on my political journey and the people would still be suffering at the hands of conventional politicians.”
