LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs (HR&MA) Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that over 2,000 Sikh pilgrims had come to Pakistan with the message of love, peace, friendship and harmony.
Every year, devotees from all over the world gather at Punjab, Pakistan to celebrate Baba Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary.
The Minister said that “Pakistan is the land of Sikh Gurus and Sikhs love this land. We have always welcomed Sikh Pilgrims with love and it is a true example of Sikh-Muslim friendship.
Speaking before their departure, the pilgrims said, “Our gurdwaras are safe in Pakistan.”
They said they were taking back a message of love and peace which they would spread among other people in India.
