KARACHI: Two persons including a woman were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in the metropolis on Friday.
According to rescue sources, Huma, 20, was hit by a fast-moving vehicle while crossing the road in Maripur area. As a result, she suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.
Separately, a speeding motorbike skidded off the road on Shahrah-e-Faisal area. As a result, Sameer, 28, and Rizwan, 21, sustained severe injuries. The injured were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment, where Sameer succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, two persons Muhammad Hafiz, 27, and Kamran, 30, sustained injuries when a truck hit their bike on Native Jetty Bridge. They were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
Six injured as bus overturns in Karachi: In another incident, at least six people were injured in a road accident in Naval Colony area of the metropolis on Friday.
According to rescue sources, a speeding bus overturned in Baldia Town’s Naval Colony. As a result, six people – Abid, Faheem, Nabeel, Bilal, Wajid and Arsalan – sustained severe injuries.
The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
