Suspects arrested in raids carried out in Karachi, Faisalabad, Hyderabad

KARACHI: Nine suspects were rounded up during a search operation conducted here in the city’s Gharbi District, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) informed. Reports further added that three of their accomplices fled, thereby escaping arrest.

As per police reports, the raids were conducted in various localities including Orangi Town and Pakistan Bazaar.

In addition, weapons were recovered from the possession of the arrestees identified as Ameen, Saddam, Azeem, Jameel, Habib, Rafiq, Latif, Ali, and Shehzad, police reports stated.

Meanwhile, in an encounter conducted in Qayyumabad, one suspect was killed, while his accomplice managed to flee, police reports apprised. According to police records, the suspect was wanted in numerous cases of street crime as well as a robbery carried out at a bakery shop on October 24.

Moreover, weapons and a stolen motorcycle were also recovered from the deceased’s possession.

In addition, the Rangers rounded up a number of suspects after conducting raids in various locales of Faisalabad on Thursday night. LEAs were also able to recover alcohol and weapons from the arrestees’ possession which were later handed over to Gulberg police station, Rangers sources informed.

Raids in Hyderabad, Sargodha, Mianwali

In addition, in an operation carried out late Thursday night at Islamabad Railway Crossing, near Phuleli area, in Hyderabad, a suspect possessing two hand grenades was taken into arrest.

Moreover, a suspect was arrested on Thursday night during a search operation in Mianwali’s Mochh area, police informed, adding that weapons were also recovered from his possession.

In another raid conducted near Sargodha’s Shahpur area, two suspects were arrested by the police.
