Pakistan Rangers, Indian BSF hold talks in New Delhi

The Pakistan Rangers and India’s Border Security Force (BSF) held delegation-level talks on Thursday in the 44th bi-annual meeting at the BSF Headquarters in New Delhi, said a statement released by the military’s media wing.

The Rangers delegation, headed by DG Rangers Sindh, was accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Interior and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.

The 44th bi-annual meeting was being held from November 8-10 in the Indian capital. The meeting is organised alternatively in Pakistan and India.

While the director general-level meeting between the two sides is a bi-annual affair, however it had not taken place on several occasions in the past due to strained relations between the two countries.

The goal of the meeting is to put out grievances between the two forces. Both countries have earlier blamed each other for targeting civilians and multiple ceasefire violations at the border.
