First ever Thai Food Festival begins in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Pearl Continental Peshawar hosted the first-ever Thai food festival at its premier Chinese restaurant Tai Pan here on Thursday. The opening was attended by food lovers of Peshawar alongside dignitaries and important personalities of Peshawar.

The four-day Thai food festival will offer an exciting menu, prepared by our executive chef Hanif who will present a myriad of treats, reflecting a wealth of experience from his Thai culinary experience and enabling guests to embark on an unsurpassed culinary journey that is sure to inspire the senses and leave an indelible mark.

General Manager Rashid Rauf Banday says about the event, “We feel privileged and excited to give everyone an opportunity to explore the exquisite cuisine and the warm hospitality from the “land of smiles” at Tai Pan.

During the Festival, the guests will be able to enjoy the food festival which will feature the best of Thai cuisine prepared from the finest and freshest ingredients to create an exotic menu that combines a refined palette with native flavours to serve the most authentic dishes to all Thai food lovers.

The Thai food festival attracted a large number of people on the first day and people enjoyed the fine taste of various dishes. Dr Kiran, a resident of Peshawar, expressed her views and said, “PC Peshawar should be congratulated for arranging such a fine event for the people of Peshawar, the food is great and the Thai ambience and décor is simply outstanding”.

Ms Lubna, a housewife, commented, “Arranging these kinds of Festivals is a breath of fresh air for us and our children just love to eat Thai food. We are thankful to the management of the hotel for infusing some life into Peshawar”.

The festival was inaugurated by the hotels’ Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) Mr Abbas Pervez along with distinguished guests and dignitaries. The Festival will conclude on November 12th, 2017.
