So far no individual or militant group has issued any statement regarding the latest attack on Pakistan security forces check post on Pak Afghan border at Raajgaal. Confirmation of encounter between security forces and militants is impossible due to lack of media access in the area, as security forces recently claimed the area being cleared off militants during the Khyber four military action.
From the last several years, Pakistan has been raising concerns about the Afghan government’s failure of taking action against the militants sheltering across the border in Afghanistan, although Pakistani authorities claim positive impacts of its border management, particularly fencing of Pak Afghan border at different points.
Meanwhile, tribal sources told Pakistan Today that security forces late Wednesday initiated military action against suspected militants in Boobar and Shaktoyee areas of South Waziristan.
