KARACHI: The Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) will “bury the MQM” whatever it takes, PSP chief Mustafa Kamal said on Tuesday while addressing inaugural ceremony of his party’s election cell at the Pakistan House.

Kamal said the MQM was the “biggest enemy of his community” and a threat to all the people in the country, especially the ‘Mohajirs’.

He also rejected the notion that his party was hatching any conspiracy against the MQM.

The PSP chief said it was an important day for his party and the election cell will oversee elections on all the seats.

The ceremony was also addressed by other PSP leaders including Raza Haroon, Dr Sagheer and Arshad Vohra.

Haroon, on the occasion, said people choose their leader on the basis of some vision. “The MQM has become a butt of all jokes and the people are joining the PSP to associate themselves with Pakistan.”

He said one cannot garner votes of the people by gathering large crowds and make them clap for him.

“The PSP is inaugurating its election camp today and will start searching for its candidates in every constituency,” the PSP leader added.

Deputy Mayor Karachi Arshad Vohra, who recently joined the PSP, said he felt lucky to have addressed the ceremony.

“This is my first address; perhaps I took too much time, but we have to work together in 2018 general elections,” he said.

“God willing, Mustafa Kamal and his team will emerge victorious,” Vohra added.
