KARACHI: Police thwarted a drug-smuggling attempt and seized over five tonnes of drugs during a raid near Northern Bypass in Manghopir area on Monday night.
The police report suggests that the drugs that were being smuggled to Karachi in a mini truck are estimated to be worth millions.
The mini truck was carrying 274 cartons with 5,000 kilogrammes of drugs worth more than Rs200 million.
However, no arrests could be made by the authorities at the time of the raid.
