KARACHI: Police officers on Tuesday foiled a smuggling bid and seized 5 tonnes of narcotics worth millions during a raid in Northern Bypass area in Karachi.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Abid Baloch, the suspects were taking the drugs out of the city in 274 boxes to supply it abroad. The officer said that the culprits fled the scene while their truck was taken into custody.
Investigations into the matter have been launched.
