DSP and SHO Islampura suspended over kite flying injury

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has taken a strict notice of the incident of throat injury of a motorcycle rider due to kite twine in the area of Islampura.

On the directions of the chief minister, Islampura Circle Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Usman Haider and Islampura Station House Officer (SHO) Ashfaq Butt have been suspended.

Chief Minister has expressed his strict indignation over kite flying despite the ban and directed that the law banning kite flying should be implemented strictly. He said that strict legal action should be initiated against the people responsible for negligence and indiscriminate action will be initiated against the persons violating the kite flying ban.
