Whatsapp restored after temporary breakdown

Popular messaging service Whatsapp has been restored after it crashed earlier on Friday in several parts of the world, including Pakistan. Users took to other social media platforms like Twitter to express their distress over this as well as find answers as to why it had gone down.

According to Whatsapp developers, the application was facing some technical issues resulting in malfunction. A notice under the “Help” section of the mobile application stated: “Our service is experiencing a problem right now. We are working on it and hope to restore the functionality shortly.”

#WhatsappDown has become a trending hashtag on Twitter.
