Bill on Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority introduced in NA

ISLAMABAD: A bill, seeking establishment of the Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (Islamabad Healthcare Regulation Bill, 2017), was introduced in the National Assembly (NA) here on Friday.

During the NA session, Minister for Human Rights Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar also delivered the annual report of the National Commission on the Status of Women for the year 2015-16, as required by Section 16(2) of the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) Act 2012.

A calling attention notice by Member of National Assembly Khalida Mansoor, regarding non-maintenance of filtration plants in Islamabad, particularly in sectors F-5/1 and F-6/1, could not be taken up due to absence of the relevant minister.

The bills to amend the Constitution regarding delimitation of constituencies, were also not introduced, though it was on the agenda of the house.
