KARACHI: Two officials of the civic agency were taken into custody during a raid conducted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Karachi Developmental Authority (KDA) office on Thursday.
During the raid, KDA Director General Syed Nasir Abbas was taken into custody.
The bureau also interrogated KDA officials in the presence of Abbas.
During the raid, the authorities also rounded up KDA record room in-charge Kamran, and director Abdullah.
As per reports, NAB also confiscated documents during the raid.
Earlier, the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had taken Abbas into custody over fraud charges.
As per reports, the FIA had made the arrest after it had received a complaint from Saddar Passport Office Regional Deputy Assistant Azhar Hussain Kalwar Saddar.
Upon investigation, it emerged that Abbas had obtained two Pakistani passports pretending to be a businessman instead of a government servant.
