KARACHI: Sindh government’s committee for investigating allegations against leakage of National Testing Services (NTS) paper for admissions in the medical colleges in Sindh reviewed the complaints of candidates and parents.

The meeting of the committee was held on Wednesday at Dow University of Health Sciences, which was chaired by Health Special Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Mehesar. During the meeting, questions were also asked from the NTS representatives regarding the complaints, and information was taken from Dow University admissions director.

The committee directed the NTS to upload all the question papers on their website so that the candidates can learn about their apprehensions. To keep the investigation fully transparent, it has also been decided that further meetings of the committee will be held and investigating agencies also be asked to help the committee if needed.

Apart from this, candidates and their parents will also be updated regularly.

Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cybercrime wing revealed in its report that the National Testing Service (NTS) paper for Sindh medical colleges was leaked ten hours before the test.

The test was conducted on October 22 and thousands of students raised protests across the province after the leakage of paper. The report was submitted to the committee that was formed on Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah’s order to probe the incident.

The report disclosed that the question paper was out on social media and was shared through different accounts of people belonging to Larkana, Shikarpur and other areas. The paper was also shared through WhatsApp and other applications. Furthermore, the committee was open to evidence collection from students and teachers.
