LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif has appreciated the performance of Cabinet Committee on Law and Order for making superb arrangement on the occasion of T20 match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka and stated that the committee made commendable arrangements in collaboration with the administration and other line departments.
He was addressing the committee meeting from London through the video link. The CM congratulated the officials and stated that it is satisfying that the police, army and rangers made foolproof security arrangements and ensured holding of the match in a peaceful manner.
According to the CM, this match promoted a soft image of the country and was a victory of peaceful Pakistan. He said that the government arranged the event by working day and night as a team and added that the provincial administration will ensure peaceful holding of such events in future as well.
The performance of the whole team of Punjab government as well as the work of civil and military law enforcement agencies, has remained the best and the people will be given many more occasions of happiness by working with same zeal in future too, the CM concluded.
Provincial ministers Rana Sanaullah, Dr Ayesha Ghaus Pasha and concerned officers attended the meeting from Civil Secretariat through the video link while Secretary to CM and related officials participated in the meeting from CM Office.
