KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) declared a police encounter held in Peer Ilahi Buksh (PIB) colony suspicious and granted bail to the individual arrested in this regard.
The court observed that as per police record the accused received a bullet in the head during the encounter and was arrested in injured condition. However the police failed to produce medical certificate or any other evidence to substantiate its claims.
SHC raised serious doubts over the veracity of the alleged police encounter and granted bail to the accused. The court directed the defendant to submit Rs 0.1 million as surety bond.
