ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday called for framing a mechanism to ensure participation of youth of all the areas in technical training programmes conducted by the government.

He said this while addressing a prize distribution ceremony organised for the winners of National Skill Competitions 2017 by National Vocational and Technical Training Commission.

The president said that the youth of Balochistan should get more opportunities relating to technical training so that they could take full advantage of the opportunities to be created under the multi-billion dollar China Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

He said the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme was initiated with the purpose to provide opportunities to the youth by equipping them with the relevant skillset. He pointed out that a skilled work force was the backbone of any economy, saying that the same was true for Pakistan as well.
