RAIWIND: Delegates from all over the world have started arriving at Raiwind to participate in the annual Tablighi Jamaat ijtema.
In its first chapter, over fifty thousand foreign delegates will take part.
According to details the four-day annual ijtema in Raiwind has been divided into two parts.
In the first phase, delegates from Rawalpindi Division, Muzaffarabad, Jhelum, Sarai Alamgir, Sargodha Division, Dir, Bajaur, Chitral, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat and the whole of Sindh except Karachi would participate.
Pakistan Railways has announced three special trains this year to bring delegates to the religious gathering. The trains will arrive at Raiwind on November 1, bringing thousands of delegates from Sukkur, Nawab Shah, Rohri.
Sources said that preachers from abroad have been issued visas by Pakistani embassies and the number of delegates this year is likely to increase from previous years.
The second part of the ijtema will start from November 10 and will culminate on November 12 with concluding prayers.
Millions of delegates participate in the annual ijtema every year.
This year, President Mamoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi are also expected to participate in the congregation.
