ISLAMABAD: A three-day anti-polio campaign commenced from Monday in twelve districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
The districts include Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Swat, Kohat, Karak, Hangu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank and DI Khan.
About forty-seven lac children up to five years of age will be administered anti-polio drops during the campaign. Tight security measures have been taken to ensure the security of polio teams.
The anti-polio drive in nineteen districts of Balochistan also commenced from Monday.
According to Provincial Coordinator Polio Emergency Operation Centre during the drive 1.8 million children up to five-year of age will be administered the anti-polio vaccine.
