KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Provincial Minister and Senior Vice President Manzoor Hussain Wassan on Friday criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for playing dirty politics including misbehaviour and personal attacks.

He said that Khan was still trying to understand the problems facing the people of Sindh while the PPP government was actively resolving them.

Wassan said in a statement that the people of Sindh were well aware of Imran Khan’s reality and would always elect PPP against its opponents. He criticised people like Liaquat Jatoi and Ghulam Arbab Rahim for cheating the people of Sindh and said that they were now finding ways to join PTI to absolve themselves of their crimes.

He further said that the parties who had only begun to feel Sindhi people’s pain prior to the national elections were the most dangerous for the province. “How can a person, who has failed to handle the Sindh chapter of his party, manage the whole province of Sindh in future,” he asked.

Wassan pointed out former members of PTI who had left the party to join PPP, including Nadir Laghari and Naz Baloch. He said that the PTI chairman did not respect his party members and had no effective plans for Sindh. He questioned the legitimacy of Khan’s criticism of Asif Ali Zardari who did not even succeed in union elections.

The PPP leader also accused Khan of using his hospital to further his dirty politics and creating a bad example. He said that by doing so, Khan gave his opponents a chance to defame Shaukat Khanam Hospital.

He added that Khan always played the politics of personal attacks and trained his party workers similarly. He said that the PPP was a party of sophisticated and educated people who were against personal attacks.

“PPP has many issues to tackle while Imran Khan, who is immature in politics, is busy misbehaving with others,” Wassan concluded.
