SUKKUR: Two bogies of a goods train derailed near Rohri Railway Station on Saturday. There were no reports of casualties.
Railway officials said two wagons of the goods train derailed near the Rohri Railway Station, suspending railway traffic on an upcountry track.
They said the operation to clear the track was underway. It might take two to three hours to clear the track for railway traffic, they added.
The railway officials said Shalimar Express travelling from Karachi to Lahore was stopped at Rohri station due to the incident and added as soon the track is cleared, the train will depart for Lahore.
Earlier in May this year, eight bogies of an oil-supplying train had overturned after colliding with another freight train near Bholari Railway Station.
The incident had resulted in injuries to a driver and fireman of the oil-supplying train. More than 150 tons of oil had spilled all over the area after eight bogies derailed and overturned.
