KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Friday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan dramatised his disallowance of entering into Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine.
Referring to the incident following Imran Khan’s rally at Sehwan, Shah asked how PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi was allowed entry into the tomb if its gates had been closed.
He claimed that Imran Khan was stopped from entering the mausoleum since he wanted to take his gunman along with him. This being against the security protocol of the shrine, he was disallowed from entering.
The chief minister further said that Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s brother Murid Hussain Qureshi had accused him of selling the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. He said that he didn’t respect Shah Mahmood Qureshi anymore following this allegation.
Shah invited PTI to hold rallies in Sindh to gain popularity among people. He said that the rallies were held outside Karachi so as to ensure proper security measures.
He said that the people of Sindh loved Pakistan Peoples Party and that they would ensure that PPP won again in the upcoming elections in 2018.
