ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Javed Iqbal to submit a report over the alleged appointment of NAB Lahore Director General Major (r) Saleem Shahzad on a fake degree.
The court also issued a notice to NAB Lahore DG Saleem Shahzad.
The petitioner informed the court that Saleem Shahzad’s degree was in Calibri font which was introduced in 2007 but the degree was obtained in 2002.
The NAB prosecutor also submitted a report of the committee constituted to review appointments.
He said that appointments and credentials of 52 officers have been completed while the committee would review appointments of 40 remaining officers.
The court directed the committee to complete the task in two months and adjourned the hearing till date in office.
