ISLAMABAD: Senior judge of the Supreme Court (SC) Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan on Friday has taken oath as acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
The oath was administered by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed in a simple but dignified ceremony held in the SC. Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan would act as CJP during the period when Justice Mian Saqib Nisar remained abroad.
The ceremony was attended by judges of the Supreme Court, Islamabad advocate general and senior lawyers. SC Registrar Arbab Muhammad Arif conducted the proceedings of the oath taking ceremony, which was also attended by relevant officers and staff members of the SC.
