LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the nation salutes the spirit of freedom of hapless Kashmiri people and strongly condemns the brutal occupation of Occupied Kashmir by India and brutalities of the Indian Army against unarmed Kashmiri people.
In his message on the Black Day against Indian occupation of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, the chief minister said that the rightful struggle of the Kashmiri people for the right to self-determination cannot be silenced through the barrel of the gun and added that he is of the considered opinion that the Kashmiris will get their freedom. He said that the Indian Army cannot silence Kashmiri people through continued cruelties and worst violations of human rights.
The Indian policy of brute torture and cruelty has further ignited the passion for freedom in the hearts of the Kashmiri people, he added. He said that the international community should take strong notice of Indian aggression and violations of human rights in Indian Occupied Kashmir and it should also pressurise India to stop this cruel game of fire and blood.
The chief minister said that PML-N has fully highlighted the Kashmir issue at all forums during its every tenure and it will continue to support the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people through morale, diplomatic and political support.
