Two shackled women recovered from Bahria Town Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have recovered two shackled women from a house in a raid in Bahria town, a police spokesman said.

The police also arrested Shehbaz alias Sahil along with other culprits involved with the crime. The detainees are suspected of carrying out immoral activities at the house that was raided.

According to reports, Bahadar Ali, a resident of Bahawlpur, lodged a complaint with Loi Bher police station that his sister was incarcerated at a house in Phase-6 of Bahria Town and managed to contact him through phone. According to details, Mehwish Bibi was sold by her husband Abdul Wahab to Sahil for money.

Following this information, a police team carried out a raid at the house and recovered Mehwish Bibi along with another woman. The two women were kept there in shackles.

The police also recovered 1,350 grammes of hashish and a .30 bore pistol from the house.

Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sajid Kiana appreciated the effort of the police and advised all police officials to adopt effective policing measures in their respective areas.
