LONDON: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will be heading to Pakistan on Wednesday following a short stay in Saudi Arabia, confirmed Hasan Nawaz, rubbishing all rumours that Nawaz will return to London from Saudi Arabia.
Ousted PM’s son told local media outlet and that Nawaz Sharif will be presenting himself before the trial court upon reaching Pakistan.
Hasan also apprised about his mother’s health who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, saying that some blood tests of Kulsoom Nawaz have been completed and she is expected to be discharged from the hospital in another two days.
Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday had tweeted that her mother has been hospitalised again and requested for prayers for her recovery.
Nawaz had been tending to his ailing wife since October 5. On October 23 he departed for Saudi Arabia and is expected to reach Pakistan on Wednesday.
Nawaz is likely to appear in the accountability court for the graft hearing on Thursday.
